First Time Ever: Yogi Acharya Rajan Sharma Completes Mount Kailash Parikrama Barefoot  — A Historic Journey of Devotion and Spiritual Strength

Mount Kailash, Tibet | June 17–27, 2026

In what is described as a remarkable spiritual journey, Yogi Acharya Rajan Sharma (Bhimsen Sapkota) completed the sacred Mount Kailash Parikrama (circumambulation) barefoot for the first time ever, covering approximately 52 kilometers across the challenging Himalayan terrain.

From June 17 to June 27, 2026, a group of 108 yogis and spiritual seekers participated in the sacred Kailash journey, combining pilgrimage, meditation, yoga practice, and deep spiritual contemplation in the presence of the majestic Himalayan landscape.

The journey was supported and coordinated by Royal Tibet Tour and Travel Pvt. Ltd. and Tibet Tour, whose team witnessed this extraordinary expression of devotion and determination.

A member of the travel team shared:

“I was shocked and deeply moved to see a yogi walking barefoot through the freezing ice and extreme conditions of Mount Kailash. It was an unforgettable experience. His spiritual dedication and inner strength were beyond ordinary understanding.”

Yogi Acharya Rajan Sharma explained that the barefoot journey was not performed for a record, recognition, or to demonstrate physical power.

“I did not walk barefoot on Mount Kailash to create a record or prove anything. This was my devotion, my spiritual offering, and my connection with the divine energy of Kailash. After more than 30 years dedicated to yoga, meditation, and guiding people toward transformation, this journey was an experience of surrender, faith, and inner realization.”

For more than three decades, Yogi Acharya Rajan Sharma has dedicated his life to yoga, meditation, spiritual science, and helping people discover inner transformation through consciousness, discipline, and self-awareness.

The barefoot Kailash Parikrama of 2026 represents a powerful message of human potential — showing how deep faith, meditation, and spiritual discipline can inspire extraordinary experiences beyond ordinary limitations.

Mount Kailash remains one of the world’s most sacred spiritual destinations, symbolizing purity, peace, devotion, and the eternal journey from the external world toward the inner self.

“Kailash is not only a mountain to walk around; it is a sacred path that leads the seeker from the outer journey to the inner awakening.”
