RCMI is helping victims directly in Nepal thrrough their Nepal Branch .
RCMI further stated that ‘we are starting its emergency response in a race against time to help survivors of a devastating earthquake that measured 7.8 and killed more than 7,200 people in the Himalayan nation of Nepal.’ Nepali community in Australia is welcoming the effort of RCMI.

Aftershocks are continuing to batter the country, and the number of casualties is climbing rapidly as people dig through rubble for survivors, but find mostly bodies.
