New border pillars constructed, old renovated

June 13. Ratnanagar (Chitwan),Four new border pillars have been constructed on the border with India from Bara to Chitwan.
Likewise, 40 pillars that were in a dilapidated condition have been renovated, according to Chief District Officer of Chitwan Dr Man Bahadur BK. A joint team is still working to renovate and construct new border pillars falling in the district, he said.
A team of 12 personnel including chief survey officers of Nepal and India had begun monitoring from the border along Balmikinagar of Chitwan to see the status of the border pillars, before deciding to replace them with a new one or renovate the old ones.
