Kathmandu. Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Standing Committee Member Janardan Sharma has said that it is the responsibility of the leaders and cadres to prevent the party from splitting and unite.
On social media on Saturday, Sharma expressed the view that the party would not be allowed to split under any circumstances as unity including transformation is needed today.
He said that the dispute within the CPN (Maoist) was seen as a problem of Nepal and the communist movement.
“We should not sit idly by and watch what the two leaders do,” Sharma said. “The CPN (Maoist) leaders and cadres have a responsibility to unite the party.”
He said that the party should not be allowed to become a weapon of self-interest of the people and expressed the view that the consensus reached between the two parties should be fulfilled.
No particular leader has the right to reject the demands of the cadres and the people
