Ratnanagar (Chitwan), June 9: The training on news writing on the subject of science and technology held for the first time outside the capital city by Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) has concluded.
The three-day science/writing training programme participated by the Chitwan – based journalists concluded on Thursday.
On the occasion, NAST’s Vice Chancellor, Dr Jiba Raj Pokharel, stressed on the importance of the use of science in journalism. He also cautioned the journalists of the inadvertent distortion of meaning in the absence of the right usage of the jargon related to science and technology.
He also drew the journalists’ attention towards focusing on new subjects as it stirs up readers’ attraction.
At the programme, Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Chitwan Chapter President, Radheshyam Khatiwada, said it would be an achievement if the journalists can implement what they have learned during the training. RSS
